New places and painting plein air, as well as simply getting outdoors, can be very stimulating.  Seeing other people's art, mixing with other artists and sharing discussion about technique acts as a great stimulus. 

Workshops can become a pilgrimage and can reward the artist not only with fresh inspiration but with new friendships and contacts across the world. 

I regularly undertake demonstrations and classes to art groups, clubs and associations.
